Crediton 2009 Community Festival

Following on from the Heritage Lottery funded Search for Saxon Crediton project during summer 2007 and its ancillary events we now look forward to what will be, during the summer of 2009, possibly the largest and most exciting Festival that has ever been planned for Crediton.

In 2009 we will be celebrating the 1100th anniversary of the founding of Devon’s first cathedral at Crediton with a series of events in and around the town and district. These will be wide ranging across a broad spectrum of civic, community, cultural, musical, religious and sporting themes with a number linking into educational programmes at the local schools. The celebrations are being co-ordinated by a small committee drawn from a good cross section of local organisations and groups.
